Buki's debut album comes with one of those amusing stories that the Christian sub/counter/whatever culture throws up occasionally. Apparently, one or two sensitive souls found the dress she wore on the cover too revealing and before you could say "airbrush" the neckline had been altered. My review copy is one with the offending picture on and speaking for myself, I can't see what all the fuss was about (but then I thought 'Life Of Brian' was quite a good film). As for the music...at times you get the impression that she would like to do some lightweight pop while her backing band have something a bit more funky in mind. In places, she sounds like the lead singer of M People (which could be considered a compliment, but I'm not an M People fan). Best moment for me was "Something In My Heart", a duet with Sign Of The Times' Nathan Prime, who also produced the album.
