Buddy's been making albums for a few years and some have been pretty dire ('Praise Harmonica' anyone) but now ol' Bud has found his creative niche with a Word contract and a production by Hank Smith which exudes a gentle old timey country gospel lilt. My particular favourite is a timely revival of Mark Heard's "He Will Listen To You" though Buddy's compositions particularly when moving into story-in-song territory ("Looking For Suzanne") carry plenty of impact. Worth investigating.
