Sometimes I just don't know how it all works. Though I know of Yemm's great popularity and status as one of the UK's best-selling gospel artist, I'd never heard him before this. Now that I have I don't know to what to attribute his success. This is a barely average voice, with impoverished arrangements of songs like "Amazing Grace", "I'll Fly Away", "The Old Rugged Cross" and such, mixed with some more contemporary material. The 18 tracks are compiled from previous albums and if you want to know what my moaning is about, listen for example to his murderous version of "The Holy City". Sad to hear the Treorchy Male Voice Choir used for backing on some tracks in an unworthy, pseudo Black And White Minstrels sort of way. I've headed it under Easy Listening but it wasn't easy, it was awful.
