Everyone in this world is on a journey of some sort or another. Becoming a Christian leads your path from darkness to light (as the title suggests). Being in the light and hence being in God's awesome presence is something all Christians strive for, and it is clear by the song titles alone that Brian Rennick wants everyone to know and feel God in their lives. Originally released in 1992 in the States, it's a somewhat surprising album for Spirit Music to put out here. With song titles such as "He Wants You", "He's The One" and "Change Of Heart" the recording has two main themes in the songwriting, namely a call to those who haven't experienced God's love for them, and Brian's own willingness to follow God's plans for him. My personal favourite song is "Light Of The World", which could easily be adapted for a church worship setting and is based on John 8:28. A pleasant, though hardly distinctive, soft pop album.
