A pre-release white label of the latest from Brian Doerksen, stalwart of the Canadian Vineyard church, and more recently heavily involved with the Vineyard UK worship team. This is a live recording made in Dublin and from the sound of the CD and the look of the track list, Brian's been busy writing, because apart from a few that have appeared recently on Vineyard UK releases, most of the tracks are new. That having been said, the old classic "Faithful One" is the highlight for me, getting an extended seven minutes-plus arrangement, with some whistles adding some Celtic ambience. Going back even further, Horatio Spafford and Philip Bliss's immortal Sankey hymn "It Is Well" gets a good makeover, with multi-layered vocals and numerous key changes building to a big choral climax. With plenty of new stuff to enjoy mixed in with the well known material, I recommend that you keep an eye out for this; it could even be Album Of The Week on UCB.
