Braille is pretty well established in the US hip-hop underground. Fans may be familiar with his earlier work, like his debut solo album 'Life First: Half The Battle' and his work with Othello and Ohmega Watts in the group Lightheaded. There was a long gap to this, his solo follow up from 2004. It was worth the wait. Braille encourages the listener to think in absolutes of things black and white, right and wrong, etc. Along the way Braille enjoys a few collaborations with some of the big names in hip-hop like Othello and Pigeon John on "It Won't Last" and Manchild from Mars Ill on "Microphone Rush". One of the things I liked about this CD, apart from the music, was that included on the liner notes was a small explanation about each song. So if you are not already a fan of Braille then after listening to this offering I challenge you not to be.
