Four of these tracks appeared on a demo EP I swooned about in CR55 and one of them, the staccato funky, Chili Peppers-style "Bottlerockit" has been a turntable hit on Cross Rhythms radio. Now the full album has arrived and a listen will soon show those who didn't catch the team's rip roaring performance at Spring Harvest why there's a buzz about the band. Gutsy vocals brimming earthy passion and choppy guitar rhythms make the opener "Duddle-A-Duh" a delight while the lyrics speak of God with intriguing images ("Hey come along won't you sing with me/To the man in the sky with the mic you can't see"). Then there's the title track with a ponderously doomy riff which reminds me a little of "Stairway To Heaven" and some of the most riveting lyrics you'll hear anywhere. A fine, surprisingly mature album from an exciting new band.
