Although the cover to this album refers only to Blake Bollinger the blurb that came with it refers throughout to the Blake Bollinger Band, which sort of makes sense as this is a sound that you would normally relate to a band rather than a solo artist. Smooth harmonies, catchy melodies and a nice Delirious?-type rock edge but all done with enough freshness to set it apart from much of the soundalike FM radio fodder that comes out of the American market. Having said that, I found some of the tracks here a little bland and it seems like either the band or producer Brent Milligan were avoiding anything with too much edge. But this still has its moments. It would nevertheless have been good to hear what these boys could do given the chance to really let it rock.
