Possibly the most difficult thing to review is a live recording of the worship from an event. You wonder what it's for - ie, could it be more than just a record of what it was like to be there? This one, recorded at the Operation Mobilisation (OM) summer conferences, is a case in point. While it did manage to be that record of the events, it had trouble getting beyond to engage the listener (like me) who wasn't there. I don't doubt there was an "awesome sense of God's presence" there as the sleeve says but it didn't, for me at least, get through onto the recording. I did not really get a sense of the event, to know, for example, what the 2000 or so people who weren't in the band were up to. The songs themselves are okay although sounding a tad dated, which may have just been the very standard arrangements. So apart from as a memento for those who were there I don't know if I can recommend it. (NB, Bill's website says there is ton of resources in a CD-ROM to go with this but it wasn't in the review copy.)
