The blue collar rock team from Memphis led by Steve Wiggins (you read about him in CR70) were major CCM sellers in the US before calling it a day in 2001. The five albums they made produced some big US Christian radio hits and "Livin' Off Your Love" is particularly perky, "Faith Of A Little Seed" is pleasing to the ear, "My Guitar" is quirky enough, and the rip-snorting closer, a live version of "Mend Me", rounds the record off with a bang. On the downside, the general mood is relentlessly mid-paced which gets a bit tedious. Having said that, this is a reasonable momento of a good, honest bunch of rock gospel musicianaries.

A most welcomed ccm group for the 90's era, I just love
their stuff. In October of 2002 we get hands on their
collection of hits, great compilation.
"Here With Me" from their second helping released in 1996 is
quite a top fave. The chorus sticks with you as you sing
along " mountains high & valleys low...
desert land & driving snow." Lead singer Steve Wiggins has
great vocal quality and writes quality songs as well wtg
Steve! "Choose Life" follows the opening song, this song
speaks to every heart that gives it a fair listen, from
their Sept. 1999 cd of same title; I believe this song is
the group's top signature song of all time. Top ccm
singer/songwriter Julie Miller brought us a heart tugger
"What Would Jesus Do" from her self titled cd in 1990. Big
Tent's ear/heart tugger "What Would Jesus Do" asks the
everyday questions, gets the heart and mind a thinking. I
have the video for this song. "Livin' Off Your Love" is the
opening song for cd "Choose Life", great ccm song!
This song will pick you up. "Someday.." is a song that all
believers love to sing, "someday with our Lord in
Heaven..someday we're gonna live forever.."
Traveling back to the start is the story of "Two Sets of
Jones", great video story line that befits the song; can't
say enough about how this song affected me at first listen;
top notch harmony on chorus. Every song
deserves a comment. BTW for the music buffs, the late Dana
Key was the Exec. Producer on this body of works and most of
the original projects the songs were culled from. The band
broke up in 2000 but reformed in 2012 and released "Way Back
Home".
Steve now writes songs for well known TBN Pastor
Greg Laurie & does a Bible study.
