As the quiet, calming piano that characterises this whole album begins on its opener, "My Redeemer Lives", the relaxed and reflective mood is set for this second CD from Ben Dunnett, worship leader at All Saints Church, Worcester, and his wife Hannah. 'No Golden Crown' provides 10 songs of piano-led worship and is a perfect accompaniment to times of reflection or meditation. The pace and style never really moves away from that set out in the opening track, though a couple of instrumentals in "Solace" and "The Potters Wheel", along with the hymn-like chorus "Isaiah 53" - sung acappella it adds some much needed variety to the set. The songs are well written and very well produced while Hannah's meaningful and thoughtful lyrics provide a great accompaniment to personal worship.
