STYLE: MOR / Soft Pop RATING OUR PRODUCT CODE: 596- LABEL: Independent FORMAT: CD Album

I have it on good authority that the New York session musicians, who were involved in this recording one afternoon in April 1994, went on to play that very same evening for 'old blue eyes' Frank Sinatra. Ben Karlsson's solo album is a veritable potpourri of all things gospel - from classic Victorian hymns, through Hebrew folk music and lush ballads to the swing-jazz of the Big Bands. You would never get such variety on a Matt Redman recording! The Swedish 'lyric-dramatic tenor' sings his way through "The Old Rugged Cross" as well a medley of Israeli worship songs drawn from the Psalms and the Old Testament prophets. This album defies classification but it will be music to the ears of those who like MOR and the classically trained voice.
