Already building themselves a place on national CCM consciousness, the Florida-based worship band here offer 12 songs, although several previously had an airing on 'The Being Human Project'. Easing the album in slowly, it isn't too long until the six-piece from Orlando break out the big toys. "Heartbeat", while having gentle moments, demonstrates some heavy hitting from drummer Kenny, turning the tempo up as we move into "Love Has Found Us", showing off proper guitar riffing and piano proficiency. However, for me the highlight is certainly the band's first single "Taste Of Eternity" with a catchy melody in the chorus and which builds into an epic anthem with hordes of backing vocals and a ton of emotion. Chief songwriter Sean Curran's lead vocals throughout the disc are inspiringly tender and passionate, particularly when harmonised with Melissa, although I'm not keen on the squeaky monologue in "Tendons (The Release)". But overall this is a stimulating debut album from a truly innovative band.

Product Description
Orlando-based progressive worship collective, Bellarive, use every instrument at their disposal, whether it be organic or synthetic, to creatively build the grand style of worship found on debut The Heartbeat.

Lead singer Sean Curran's ethereal vocals have the unique ability to cut through lush string arrangements and sweeping guitar swells creating moments that are at the same time grandiose and intimate. The Heartbeat finds a band striving to make music worthy of the Creator that also gives voice to a generation hungry for authentic and spirited worship.
