Down the years, the Nashville-based pop artist has had a grand total of 14 Cross Rhythms radio hits - an impressive feat for any independent artist - and this new single, Beckah's first release for a while, has just made it 15. This mid-tempo song has a delicious sinuous guitar and bass groove, concocted by producer Jack Shocklee (surely one of the most underrated studio talents in Christendom) while Beckah's soulful, grace-note strewn vocal gives an acclaim to the King of Kings ("The King of my head/King of my heart/King of all of me/King of my light/King of my dark/King of my night and day. . ."). Beckah finishes her song by demonstrating her Jewish roots and singing in Hebrew, "Baruch ata Adonai, Eloheinu melech ha'olam." Wonderful stuff.
