Interesting bit of background info to this release in Kingsway's The Worship Leaders series. Barry worked as sound engineer and technician in the music industry prior to his conversion, including a stint travelling with rock legends AC/DC. He now pastors a church in California. Given his background, it would not have been unreasonable to anticipate a bit more musical bite, not necessarily heavy rock of course. But the menu here is rather predictable fare, musically and lyrically.   Having said which, I'm sure Barry has achieved what he set out to do, there's a sense of urgency and commitment, the vocals are comparatively rough-edged, specially when guest singer Howard McCrary lets rip. So, mixed feelings really

I'm looking for it too. Haven't seen you since Hannah's wedding! Hope you are well. Your mom possesses a mighty gift, praying it'll be put back in use very soon! Lots of love to you & yours from Erin (Trumbo).

I've just come across Barry's later album "Rio da Duvida" (The River of Doubt) which I really liked. Some tracks are quite similar to Dylan in his 'Slow Train Comming' era, others are a bit funky, and some almost ambient. Good lyrics as well.
Got it as a download from from Proost on http://www.proost.co.uk,

I saw Barry at Cao Beach Calvary Chapel last weekend. He is a wonderful speaker and a talented musician. I prefer his music when played solo rather than with a band. My spiritual culture is more one of reverence than of rock and roll. I hope the hear Barry again, both as a musician and as a speaker. My home is in Fresno, CA but I spend my weekends in Orange County, CA to spend time with the love of my life. I thank God for bringing us together.

i just saw barry taylor in person at my church this sunday... he was AMAZING! His voice has a rough quality, a bit raw at times, totally engrossing and moving... really good stuff... then i went and bought his latest cd and was, well, shall i say, disappointed.. OVERPRODUCED... way, way, way overproduced.. this is a HUGE mistake to try to cover up the almost bob dylanesque quality that he portrays when he sings live. in person he is very unique and spontaneous, very moving.. on the cd he is almost unrecognizable as the person i saw today..just another pop voice..too bad, get a new producer!
