Sweden has a long history of good rock groups and I have fond memories of Edin-Adahl, Jerusalem, Leviticus et al. This threesome from Stockholm doesn't have the hard edge of true heavy rockers, although they can pound out the beat as well as any. This 12-track album mixes up the styles to include a bit of punk, a bit of tuneful balladry, a bit of pomp, and some hooky pop, so there's no danger of boredom. Lyrically there's no danger of missing the point of the message either, and it comes across strongly in the opener "Same Old Street Of Life", other faves on first play - "I've Touched The Sky", addressed directly to The Lord ("I've touched the sky/And I wonder why/Cause your love has filled me with hope from above!); "Now", which is a rant against Satan ("We don't want to hear you now/Cos you're lying anyhow.we don't need your explanations/What we need is true salvation/That will lift our generation.") and "Rain", using the familiar image of the Holy Spirit as being the rain in the desert. Good quality rock music that is worthy of Cross Rhythms airplay.
