Reviewed by Paddy Hudspith This five piece have been ministering locally in Northern Ireland for more than a decade with a vision to reach Christians and non-Christians alike. This three-track offering, preceding the release of an album 'Trendy To The Roots?', is a totally home-grown affair, but don't let that put you off. The title track bounces pleasantly along, an insistent folk-flavoured message about creation's witness to a bigger plan, hanging on a memorable hook. "Word On The Street" is darker, with a polite flexing of Mark Millar's guitar muscle, spoilt a little by some annoying '80's keyboard mid-song. Ascension close with a gentle evangelistic tear-jerker, as Michael Chapman croons "Only Jesus Can Give You What You Need". Cue altar call! Respect to the guys; they deserve a strong grassroots following and all the encouragement they can get. Currently, however, they lack the edge, lyrically and musically, to catch the ear of an increasingly sophisticated CCM audience, let alone the mainstream. But, love that frog!
