Eagle-eyed gospel fans might have spotted Hill's name collaborating on projects from the likes of James Grear and Mitchell Jones but this album gives him the chance to really show us what he's made of. Indiana-based Hill works at the intersection of gospel and worship and obviously enjoys the space to include different musical influences. "H.O.W. (Heart Of Worship)" is built around a great little jazzy groove. Talking of great grooves, the opening "Honorable Glory" sets things off nicely whilst "My Everything" is pure old school gospel. In many respects the diversity reminds me of the best work of Israel Houghton and if you like worship with gospel flavour then this is worth investigating.
