A CD of gentle reggae style music from Anthony, who lives in Tooting, a long way from his sunny Caribbean roots; all 15 tracks are his own work, and the running time is a generous 56 minutes. All very nice, but perhaps it’s too nice – most of it ambles amiably along, never really getting in yo’ face, although “Prophecy” has more attack about it, with a bit of toastin’ about the vocals. More worryingly, some of the pitching is badly off at times, and whilst the production is on the whole acceptable, some of the backing vocals don’t blend very well. I’ve heard some seriously good reggae music down the years from such as Christafari and their ilk. But this is a tad limp by comparison; a little more chunk and a little less cheese would give it much more impact.
