Anne Murray has been a recording artist for 40 years and it is now 30 years since she had a huge international hit with "You Needed Me". This is a collection of "inspirational songs" but in truth this gushing MOR set does little to inspire. Starting off with a clutch of songs that supposedly fit the inspirational category, such as "Let It Be" and "Lean On Me", it then moves into the old hymn book and the likes of "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Softly And Tenderly". Very polished but lacking any hint of passion and with nothing new in earshot, this is a re-package of an old 1999 album. I find myself sharing the thoughts of Mike Rimmer's previous review. Inspirational? In what way?
