Co Down's Anna Grindle says that one of the reasons she recorded this CD was to help fundraise for a year's voluntary work in Uganda and no doubt it will be well received and supported by friends and family. However, beyond that there is little to entice a listener to buy this eight-song mini-album. The songs are nice enough with their simplistic melodies and instrumentation, mainly acoustic guitar and keyboard, but don't really go anywhere and all sound a bit samey. Having been recorded in a studio does mean the sound quality and mix is clear and well balanced but it unfortunately doesn't do anything for the vocal which is, more often then not, flat and uninspiring. Lyrically the songs give an insight into Anna's personal journey with God over the last year and a half. But this just isn't comfortable listening.
