The singer/songwriter who once had a favourably received album under the name the Mox Files returns with soothing vocal sounds, some memorable melodies and a record packed full of passion. Simple accompaniments are the perfect companion to Andrew's voice while the highlights in Andrew's songwriting include "Gift", a song about the beauty of the gift that is God's love, and "Solitaire" which sports a more story-telling style lyric. The album loses a bit of momentum at the somewhat repetitive and '90s sounding "That Place", but quickly makes up for it with the following "Turn". As a mellow and contemplative song about what matters in life, this song is another gem. Overall, Moxen's unique approach to music it refreshing, as the 10 songs that make up this record don't fit neatly into any mould.
