A 20 year old Amy Grant gives us 12 songs, six of which she had some hand in writing. The album is a child of its time, muted single note guitar riffs which at the time were quite classy and polished, four to the bar stomping kind of rhythms, "Don't Give Up On Me", with some ballads added for balance, Amy never really rips but maybe that's her appeal. The songs sound tame now but pleasant nonetheless, containing uplifting lyrics that tackle life as we live it. The remastering brings extra clarity and definition to a still engaging album.
