Northampton-based Ali has penned some deep, personal and moving lyrics on this, her debut album. I am impressed at how, in each of her songs, she turns the stress and pain of life into praise and worship to God. Some of these songs border on melancholy, yet there is always a silver lining in the cloud of introspection as after acknowledging circumstances she turns to the living God. Such honest lyrics are rare and make for an exceptionally brave offering. With a bit more work on the rhymes and metaphors these songs could be great rather than good. Also, though Ali's voice is appealing I think a little coaching could turn it into something special.
