Three strong songs here on an impressive first release from young Arkansas-based Edmonds, who apparently has self-penned tracks in the pipeline for a forthcoming debut album. 'The Blue EP' offers up "As Long As It Takes" (Jason Ingram, Mike Payne, Brittany Waddell), "Answer To Prayer" by Bruce Carroll and Paul Smith, plus Reuben Morgan's "You Said". Stylistically, it's a strong, slightly edgy rock-pop vibe, with impressive and punchy production by the intriguingly-named Zod Lounge, and deserves the strong airplay that it has gained on US Christian radio stations. Certainly a name to watch for in the near future.
