Aletha is a 17 year old singer/songwriter who wants to make music her career but sadly, on the evidence of this five-song CD EP, she has a fair way to go to realise her ambition. Her voice has power but, as she reaches for the top notes, it loses clarity and distorts rather badly. The three songs that are hers, whilst majoring on sensitive topics such as racial discrimination and bullying, aren't very strong musically, and the production and programming sound cheap. Much work is needed in all areas but, as for this CD, I respectfully suggest that it should be put away somewhere and forgotten about. Very disappointing.
