Al Denson is a popular figure in American CCM though pretty unknown here in the UK. 'Praise: Recorded Live' stems from 1987 and features well known choruses, hymns and inspirational songs sung competently though with little particular spark of freshness. There is one curiosity - a version of the old R&B classic "Louie Louie" given new Christian words and now called "Pharaoh Pharaoh". Peculiar.
