Based in Plymouth, Abi has already made an impact on iTunes and based on this debut, we will be hearing a lot more from this talented singer/songwriter. The first single, the title track, is a strong song with good vocals and honest lyrics of life struggles but the album presents deeper treasures which grow with repeated listening. "God Shaped Hole" is an infectious number with a nod to country pop, while "What Kind Of Man" focuses on Abi's voice over an acoustic guitar backing. There is even a hint of '80s in "The One I Can Depend On" with its electric guitar which would feel at home on a Pat Benatar track! After listening several times, I am left with the impression that this is just the start of something special. Watch this space!
