From the first bar of the opening track I thought I was going to really enjoy this EP from the North Wales-based band. Unfortunately, the opening was about as good as it got. The vocals were the first area of concern, with Bryn Roberts barely hitting the right notes and in many cases not quite getting there. The musicians seem pretty decent really, but don't seem to be exactly tight. The lyrics are not up to much. It seems to be about rhyming rather than any depth of thought. I don't think any of the tracks on this rather pedestrian EP really gripped me in the slightest. Nothing new here, I'm afraid. 'Freedom' is a somewhat naïve, clichéd and predictable outing. I think a decent producer could make something out of this band, but there needs to be something there to interest said producer first.
