Based in South Africa, this is 4Faith's second release following 'Unselfish Love'. The title track offers promise of middle of the road pop with an infectious chorus and some great electric guitar. Sadly the rest of the collection (with the exception of the additional acoustic version of "Healing Rain"), does not deliver. The opener "Teach Me" sounds like a poor demo made 20 years ago with its artificial sounding backing. "Thank You That You Came" with its opening line "Thank you for the rain/Thank you for the showers" would be more at home on a children's collection. There are some interesting moments however; not all songs are in English - "Mask My Soos" (translated "Make Me Like You" in Afrikaans) has an almost carousel feel to the song. But overall, 'Healing Rain' does not stand up well in today's competitive and crowded music marketplace.
