Creative Prayer: 8. Biblical Teachings - Creative Prayer
This teaching series may have baffled some of you. You may think – I don’t have a creative bone in my body – well there are lots of ways to be creative during your prayer times. We looked at different ways to pray over the past weeks; to stand, to kneel, to pray in groups, all these ARE creative expressions of your heart to God!

There are others ways too to be creative why not…
Sing a song (Psalm 33: 3)
Dance (Exodus 15: 20 and Psalm 149: 3)
Play an instrument (Psalm 149: 3)

You can be creative in so many ways, draw your prayer as a picture, write your prayer down on paper, read psalms or other scripture and make them your prayers. If you’re praying for an area walk around it and pray (its called prayer walking). Why not get a map of your area and pray over it for your city or town or nation!

When we begin to express ourselves in different ways we can often feel like our freedom increases. There is nothing more wonderful than being able to be yourself, in the Bible it tells us, where the Spirit of God is there is freedom. As we said when we looked at decorating the tabernacle, God said He had put His Spirit on those who decorated the tabernacle,

“..and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship.” Exodus 35: 31

When we are creative the Spirit of God is there, ask Him to help you if you struggle being creative. Go on express yourself – try some creative prayer!!
