The Armour Of God: 8. The Confidence To Stand Firm

In Ephesians 6 it tells us that,

“…having done all to stand. Stand therefore...” Ephesians 6: 13-14

To stand in the face of the enemy must, I’m sure, be a frightening experience. Yet God has given us the confidence to stand in front of all things and to keep standing! That confidence comes from the fact that Jesus has already won the victory, the day He went to the cross He conquered. Therefore all we need to do is stand in that victory. Satan will do everything in his power and ability to convince, trick and deceive you into thinking that the victories Jesus won on the cross don’t count for you.

God though, calls us to stand in the face of fear, of sickness, of sin, of all things that come against us and know that if we stand and withstand we will enter into that victory over our own lives! We also know that the weapons that God has granted us and the armour we have, which we have been looking at, are able to withstand any evil force.

Therefore stand firm and know that even when you feel in the middle of the battle and that you have no victory, it is there you are gaining the place of victory – don’t give up, push on, follow through and live a life of victory in Jesus!
