Another way that prayers can be hindered is through unbelief. Jesus when He walked the earth was always so encouraged when He met people who were full of faith. One of the most powerful examples of faith seen in the gospels is the faith of the centurion when asking for healing for his beloved servant (Luke 7: 1-10). Another example is the woman with severe bleeding (Mark 5: 21-34), Jesus even says to the woman:
“Daughter, your faith has made you well…”
Jesus responded to faith, this however was not the only thing that moved Him to perform miracles and answer people’s requests but it was one of the reasons. Therefore unbelief had the opposite affect on His ability to minister. We see in Matthew 13: 53–58 that Jesus was severely restricted in His ability to work in people’s lives where there was unbelief, verse 58 even says:
“Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”
Therefore check yourself, do you really believe God is all powerful and almighty? In 1 Corinthians 12: 4–11 “FAITH” is listed in the gifts of the Holy Spirit – ask for the gift of faith, step out in faith and believe for all His promises!
