Saying to God that His name is hallowed means that you are telling Him His name is HOLY. So this part of the prayer is connected with PRAISE & WORSHIP. Really it is simply reminding us that God is to be praised and that our prayer life is an ideal time to praise and worship God, because He deserves more than what we offer on a Sunday, because he is great and holy and good. And it is from knowing who He is that we praise Him and that follows from the acknowledgement of who He was that we made last week.
Psalm 100:4 says: "Enter His gates with thanksgiving & into His courts with praise."
Praise and worship gets us into God's presence because He loves our adoration and so He cannot help but to draw near to us. Jesus encouraged us to incorporate praise and worship into our prayer life because what better place can we talk and listen to God but once we have His full attention and presence due to our praise and worship.
