Prayer walking is important because God sewed it into man’s basic existence and it is interwoven throughout the whole Bible.
Genesis 3:8 “And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day…”
Genesis 5:22 “Enoch walked with God…”
Genesis 12-25 Abraham walked the whole of the land God promised Israel in preparation.
Deuteronomy 11:24 “Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours…”
Joshua 1:3 “Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.”
Isaiah 20:3 Isaiah walked naked and barefoot for three years as a prophetic sign.
Hosea 11:3 “I taught Ephraim to walk…”
Galatians 5:16 “Walk in the Spirit…”
As you can see the scriptures are riddled with the importance of walking and therefore, for us today, it has to be seen that it is still important today.
As we said last time Jesus was a great walker, he walked everywhere and it wasn’t just because He had no transport, He obtained a donkey (Luke 19:30-35) for His entrance to Jerusalem without any trouble, no, He walked because there is an importance and significance to walking through your local area, the area you are ministering to.
(IF YOU ARE GOING TO PRAYER WALK YOUR AREA, BE SENSITIVE, BE POLITE AND BE SENSIBLE. USE YOUR COMMON SENSE WITH REGARDS TO HOW YOU PRAY, WHERE YOU PRAY AND SAFETY ASPECTS – IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE INFORMATION PLEASE SEND AN E-TXT AND I WILL BE HAPPY TO PROVIDE IT. GOD BLESS YOU AS YOU WALK)
