In the town of Walsall there has been a project called the Jesus 2000 project
WALSALL'S Jesus 2000 project attracted over 6,500 people to its three days of celebration in June. American rock team All Star United played a concert to 1,000 young people while Roger Jones' 'Snakes And Ladders' musical attracted over 1,200. The culmination of the weekend was an all-ages celebration where speaker Steve Chalke and worship songwriter Graham Kendrick ministered to over 4,000 at Walsall FCs Bescot Stadium. Said charity coordinator Mike Bannister, "For three years of preparation, the weekend exceeded all our expectations. It was spectacular to see so many people at Walsall for a Christian event, it was definitely worth all the effort."
