American rockers Petra to visit Europe in April 2004.

VETERAN American Christian rock band Petra are to undertake a tour of Europe, including UK concerts, in April 2004. The group will be playing with a second major act still to be announced. Petra are currently in the American Christian music charts with their 20th album 'Jekyll And Hyde'. The project, produced by Newsboys frontman Peter Furler, is one of the most "aggressive" rock records in the group's 31-year history and has been praised by fans and media as one of their best. Said lead singer John Schlitt, "The response to 'Jekyll And Hyde' has been overwhelming to the band. I'm convinced our fans are the most loyal out there and I think that we've delivered the record they've been asking for. We've been at this for quite a few years, but our message is just as relevant today as it was when we started." CR
