Needtobreathe play UK concerts; Joe Stillwell to depart the band
AS PART of an overseas tour America's rock hitmakers Needtobreathe are playing UK concerts in Manchester (The Ruby Lounge, 9th July); Glasgow (King Tut's, 10th); Dublin (Academy 2, 12th); Swansea (Sin City, 13th); and London (Hard Rock Calling Festival, Hyde Park, 14th; O2 Academy, 16th).
In a separate development, Needtobreathe's drummer, Joe Stillwell, has announced his departure from the band. He wrote, "I've always known that this band was my calling, but now I feel God calling me to make a change. I'm writing this to let all of you know that after much prayer and consideration, I've decided to leave the band. As you can imagine, this was the most difficult decision I've ever made, but I know 100% in my spirit that it is the right one. I will truly miss being a part of Needtobreathe and am honoured to have created great music with my friends for so long. I type these words with great appreciation for all that has come before this and great anticipation for what's ahead." A replacement for Stillwell has yet to be announced.
