Ashen Mortality bass player Tim Cooper dies of leukaemia
TIM COOPER, the bass player with the critically acclaimed British hard music band Ashen Mortality, died on 17th August 2006 after a two-year battle with leukaemia. Tim recently had a bone marrow transplant but after an improvement more leukaemia cells were found and no more treatment could be given. He was married and leaves behind two young children.
Originally from Birmingham, Ashen Mortality were fronted by singer/guitarist Ian Arkley. Their albums, 'Sleepless Remorse' (1996) and 'Your Caress' (1998) were enthusiastically received. The band performed their last concerts in Norway and the UK at the end of 2004.
