Rapper Trip Lee gets positive reviews for 'The Waiting Room' mix tape
REACH RECORDS emcee and pastor Trip Lee is enjoying an enthusiastic response to his latest release 'The Waiting Room'. The project features guests Dmitri McDowell, Tedashii, India Shawn and Taylor Hill with cover artwork by Arturo Torres who illustrated the New York Times best-selling book The Rap Year Book. When asked in a recent interview what was the difference between an album and a mix tape the rapper responded, "Nobody knows what the differences any more." Reviewer Sam Robinson wrote, "The mix tape is a powerful, raw statement on life as Trip knows it. From recently dashed dreams ("Clouds") to ongoing struggles with chronic fatigue, to questioning God ("IDK") and social issues facing the USA ("Lord Have Mercy") Trip bares all and encourages the hearer to be bold in faith and cling to God's promises."
