Jazz organist Cory Henry charts with live gospel album
CRITICALLY acclaimed organist Cory Henry who, as well as being a member of the Grammy winning instrumental fusion band Snarky Puppy, has worked with such acts as Yolanda Adams, Kirk Franklin and P Diddy, is enjoying a stint on Billboard's Gospel Chart with his album 'The Revival'. The project was recorded live in New York. Said Henry, "I play the songs pretty often but I turn on to other aspects - it can be different from night to night. It's like my version of Art Tatum: he has many records with similar songs, but each record is different, he improvises them differently. I'm taking that approach."
