Sanctus Real return with album inspired by author Brennan Manning.

AMERICAN critics and radio stations are already getting behind the new album by Ohio rock band Sanctus Real, 'The Face Of Love'. The title track of the new Sparrow release was inspired by Brennan Manning's book The Signature Of Jesus. Said the band's lead singer Matt Hammitt, "We perceive Christ so many ways. Our pastors give us impressions and planting in our heads and we have a sense of what he looks like. Those images can harm our perception of who he is. He becomes more of a symbol than a love affair. [Reading that book] was a new revelation of Christ's love for me."
