Canadian singer/songwriter Andrew Marcus resurfaces as rapper Addition
AWARD-winning Canadian singer, songwriter and worship leader Andrew Marcus has released a surprise single "Lift My Eyes" on which he enters the genre of hip-hop. With critically acclaimed albums to his credit and writing and vocal collaborations with Leeland and Paul Baloche, Marcus has now released the single using the name Addition. Read a press release, "Spending time in the studio experimenting, Marcus' long time passion for '90s hip-hop music surprisingly resurfaced." "Lift My Eyes" is being released on 28th July and was written after his father encouraged him to write a song with his favourite Scripture - Psalm 121. Addition's single will be followed by a seven-song mini-album. Said the singer-turned-rapper, "I was genuinely surprised when these songs and this project started taking shape. I haven't listened to my '90s mixtapes for many years. It has been such a fun experience writing these songs and my prayer is that these songs help listeners memorize Scripture and stand on the promises of God."
