The Soul Stirrers are commemorated by the release of 'The Complete Speciality Recordings'

LEGENDARY '50s gospel group The Soul Stirrers, from whence sprang pop and R&B hitmaker Sam Cooke, are commemorated on an 83-track, three CD box set released by Ace/Specialty. The set, 'The Complete Specialty Recordings', contains every track the group recorded for California's Specialty Records as well as Cooke's early ventures into the mainstream.
