Bio-pic on William Wilberforce released to UK cinemas in March
THE MUCH heralded film based on the life of anti-slavery campaigner
William Wilberforce, Amazing Grace, goes on UK cinema release on 23rd
March. The release coincides with the 200th anniversary of the
abolition of the slave trade in the UK. Inspired by the film, The
Amazing Change is a global campaign to mobilise a new generation of
abolitionists committed to freeing children, women and men in slavery
today. Said May-Lynn Chang of Bristol Bay Productions, "We want church
leaders of all denominations to be inspired by the faith and courage
of Wilberforce. We hope they will use this film to empower their
churches to become a catalyst for change and to engage and inspire
discussion in relation to the bicentenary."
