Rapper A Star encouraging the black community to give blood on latest single

THE LONDON-based rapper A Star has released the single/video "Hidden Pain". The song features UK singer Leke and sheds light on what life is like for those battling with sickle cell illness. A Star explained, "On the track I try to encourage people to give blood and do research as this affects mostly black people. I recently found out only 1% of black people in the UK give blood which broke my heart so I'm hoping this song will encourage more people (especially black) to give blood. Off the back of the single, I am planning on putting on an event and my aim is to get at least 100 black people to sign up to give blood at this event."
