Sammy Horner busy in studio on various projects
IRISH-BORN, Scotland-based singer/songwriter Sammy Horner is busy with several recording projects. In his latest newsletter he reports, "I have just put together a love songs album called 'This Heart' a collection of my best love ballads, some new recordings, some duets and even some demos.20 songs in all and it will be available on the fall tour. I have been writing a lot and hope to have another album finished by the end of the year. As well as these, my 'Dark Country' project is almost done and I have just about finished the album that my old Irish mate Rodney Cordner and I have been working on."
Horner continues, "I did get to sing on a track performed by Indiana
bluegrass combo The Goldmine Pickers which is beautifully simple and
refreshing. 'The Milestones Of The Mind' may well come out on a
collection of songs I am thinking of calling 'Sick And Tired'..songs I
wrote or worked on during this time of illness..in some ways these
songs and artists have been what has kept me going. I have also
written a little with my friend Phil Madiera in Nashville and came up
with a great new song called 'A Friend In Me'. I have been writing
some for a new country artist from Indiana called Stacey Osborne and
have been letting great artists like Rosanna Fiorazo hear new stuff."
