Successful folk and roots event held in West Midlands
THE FIRST Christian folk and roots festival Roots And Branches was deemed a success by the organisers and plans are now progressing to make it an annual event. Held at Sneyd Community School, West Midlands on 2nd October the in-door one-day event featured Eden Burning, Nuffsed, Jonathan Day And Eye Of The Storm, Shelter and Godfrey Rust. Said organiser Lesley Wilkes, "The number attending was disappointing for various reasons but the atmosphere was fantastic. For instance the non-Christians present were full praise for the event. We're now looking for sponsors to help stage Roots And Branches '94."
