Band of Peruvian nuns get international interest

THE BBC World Service have recently told the story of Siervas, a Peruvian-based rock 'n' roll band comprised entirely of nuns. Read a press release, "With several of the members of their convent already able to play musical instruments, this group of nuns in Lima decided to form a band. The nuns were subsequently invited to play for Pope Francis in Juarez, Mexico." Siervas have released the albums 'Ansias Que Queman' in 2014 and 'Hoy Despierto' in 2016.
