Ex-leader of The Chi-Lites Eugene Record planning second gospel release.
LEAD SINGER and composer for soul music legends The Chi-Lites, Eugene Record, was interviewed in the October issue of Mojo magazine where he spoke about his Christian faith and his leaving the band. He told the magazine, "[it] seemed like it was going backwards. Things just wasn't right. But when I got saved in 1988, it was time for me to go. When the Lord touched my life, I knew that there was something different happening here. It was a turnaround in my life. So I made the change and I haven't been sorry since. I started my own gospel label Evergreen records, in 1998, and I'm the first artist. I plan on that being a full-blown label one day. I'm writing songs and fixing to do my second gospel CD."
